It's Christmas Eve, 1965, and ten-year-old Simon is doing typical little boy stuff, playing with his model railway and looking forward to a treat of jelly and ice-cream.

His mother, Hannah, is downstairs watching their small black and white TV and calls Simon down to join her.

However, a fun night together is not what Simon has in mind. He has other plans, satisfying a grudge that he's held for several incarnations.

How fortunate that he was reborn to this particular woman. She has no recollection of her own past lives but Simon remembers all of his and there is a savage debt to pay from 150 years ago.
